Maple Sesame Crispy Tofu

This maple sesame tofu is my absolute fave at the moment! It’s SO easy to make, has minimal ingredients and tastes so good too!

Ingredients:
-1 x 450g block of tofu
-1/4 cup maple syrup
-1/4 cup soy sauce
-3 tbsp rice bran oil
-3 tbsp sesame seeds

To serve (all optional, as desired):

-Your favourite steamed green veggies (I like to do green beans or snow peas)
-Steamed rice
-A drizzle of sesame oil
-A drizzle of maple syrup
-A sprinkle of sesame seeds

Method:
1. Tear your block of tofu into the desired amount of pieces you’d like (I like to tear mine relatively small so that they soak up more flavour!), and then place into a bowl.
2. Add maple syrup, soy sauce, rice bran oil and sesame seeds, and toss together until all the tofu is well coated.
3. Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat on the stove and add the tofu.
4. Fry the tofu for 10-15 minutes, tossing every couple of minutes to ensure the tofu doesn’t burn. You will know the tofu is done when it is golden and lightly crispy.
5. Serve the tofu hot, as desired. I like to serve mine with steamed rice, green steamed veggies and some sesame oil/maple syrup.
6. Enjoy!
